Exception, error loading file:ZipArchive library is not enabled

I written the program to read excel data and save it into mysql db. But php not supporting to read excel file in linux OS. Its throwing "Exception, error loading file:ZipArchive library is not enabled". At the same time XAMPP from Windows 7 OS accepting to read excel datas.

When I googled I found PHP Version: 5.4.11 not supporting for ZipArchive. It was a big challenge for me to resolve this issue. Finally founded a solution by installing latest zip module. Please find the below steps and hope it will help for you all.

• Downloded latest zip-1.12.4.tgz from pecl.php.net/package/zip
• Go to linux ssh terminal.
• Extract tar -xvf zip-1.12.4.tgz 

      Do phpize if configure file is missed from extracted directory it will create all configure related files

• #]phpize
• ./configure
• make
• make test
• make install 

After the installation its created the zip.so on appropriate directory. Now run your PHP file, it will read data from excel file.
